5 Partner Exercises from the Tone It Up Girls to Try with Your BFF

Finding motivation to hit the gym in the peak of summer is hard, so we tapped the Tone It Up girls for some fun moves you can add to your routine with just a medicine ball or your own bodyweight—and a workout buddy. 1. Back-to-Back Squat

A. Stand back-to-back, feet shoulder-width apart and arms straight down at sides with hands clasped with your partner's.
B. Leaning into your partner for balance, brace your abs, push your hips back, and bend your knees, lowering the body into a squat. Pause at the bottom, then push back up to the starting position. 

2. Medicine Ball Toss

A. Stand facing your partner with feet slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, holding medicine ball in front of chest.
B. Hinge at hips and bend knees, lowering into a squat while keeping medicine ball in the same position.
C. Extend legs while simultaneously extending arms to toss the ball to your partner, who will come into a squat position when catching the ball. 

3. Medicine Ball Toss-Crunch

A. Lie on floor facing your partner with knees bent and legs interlaced.
B. With the medicine ball in front of your chest, perform a sit-up, tossing to your partner as you come to the very top of your sit-up.

4. Partner Bridge

A. Lie on floor facing your partner with your knees bent and the soles of your sneakers pressed together.
B. Keeping your feet touching and knees bent, extend your arms to your sides and press your palms into the ground as you use your abs to lift your butts off the ground.

5. High-Five Plank Hold

A. Begin in high plank position facing your partner.
B. Keeping your hips parallel, reach your right hand out to high-five your partner. Return right hand to the ground and repeat with left hand.
