During a workout, you never want to find yourself flipping through songs—you need a catchy, mood-boosting beat throughout to keep you motivated (and distracted?!) from the miles you're logging. And when it's a song you know, it feels good to belt it out while you're sweating it out, right? (Come on, we all do it!) But with so many new songs being released, sometimes it's hard to decide what to add and what to delete—and which songs you're going to be sick of in thismuch time. Well, according to a new survey, you need not look any further than the past for the best (and catchiest!) sweat-sesh beats that you'll know every word to.

When the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) set out to determine the catchiest song of all times—by having over 12,000 users play an online game called Hooked on Music, which had a database filled with over 1,000 clips of Top 40 Hits from over the past 70 years—they concluded that, on average, the number one most recognizable song was (drum roll, please!) "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls. Time to reconsider slamming your body down and winding it all around, perhaps?
