PopPhysique

The latest Hollywood workout craze, PopPhysique has locations all over California and is now expanding into Florida and Maryland too. Created by a former professional ballet dancer and Pilates instructor, the workout fuses elements of ballet, Pilates, and light weight work into a “methodical series of strengthening, isometrics, core shaping, and luxuriating stretches.” With the PopPhysique DVD Program ($14.99 each or $29.95 for all 3; popphysique.com), you'll get access to the popular workouts currently only available at studios.

What to expect: The three-DVD set offers at-home versions of their most popular classes, including Original Butt (a special series of moves designed to sculpt your glutes, thighs, and abs), Hardcore (a total-body toning workout with extra emphasis on core strength), and Cardio Butt School (this derriere-focused DVD boosts the speed of basic dance principals to deliver a complete cardio workout).

You'll need: A mat, a sturdy chair, and light hand weights.
