The U.S. Open is in full swing, and we have tennis fever! So to get you excited for the next U.S. Open matchup, we've put together a set of fun tennis workout moves. Inspired by the U.S. Open, these moves are sure to have you feeling like a workout champion!
3 U.S. Open-Inspired Tennis Workout Moves
1. Line sprints. Take a cue from Caroline Wozniacki's book and sprint it out. Whether it's on the tennis court or not, set up three points in varying distances to run to. Run to the one that's farthest away first, then the second-farthest, then the closest. Rest for one minute, and then repeat four more times. Talk about building good cardio endurance!
2. Jump rope. Just take a look at the U.S. Open players and you'll notice two things — they have super strong legs and can jump like crazy. Work on your tennis jumps by jumping rope! See how many jumps you can do in a row without stopping — and watch your fitness soar as you keep practicing this tennis move.
3. Plank with knee twist. At the U.S. Open, you'll also see a lot of strong abs. That's because tennis is such a functional sport that requires agility, mobility and quickness. Work out like a U.S. Open tennis with this plank with a knee twist. It doesn't just work the abs — it works the whole trunk!
