April Fools' Day is one of those fun holidays where everything is about humor and nothing is taken too seriously. But come April 1, sometimes it's hard to know what's real and what's just another April Fools' Day prank. To help with this, we put together a list of three fitness trends that may seem like an April Fools' Day joke, but are totally legit!
1. Strip-Tease Aerobics. At first it seemed like a joke, but strip-tease aerobics or fitness pole-dancing is a trend that is around to stay. With hundreds of DVDs on the market and classes in darn near every city, this trend that fuses fitness with feeling sexy is for real.
2. Vibration Training. Don't get this trend confused with those old vibrating belt machines from the 1950s. Vibration training—where you stand on a vibrating platform while doing strength or balance exercises—has been shown to increase muscle activity, thereby giving you more burn!
3. Mechanical Core Muscle Training. No joke here, the Panasonic Core Trainer looks and works like a mechanical riding bull, except this time it's all for improving core strength—not for the rodeo.
