Are you supposed to rotate the trunk and change shoulders ar just hold it
where's the twisting?
I have been shown this ab workout by my personal trainer. She had me hold the weight in front of my midsection while leaning back and raising my feet. Then I twisted so the upper half of my body was facing right, then twisted the other way so my upper body was facing left. Your feet are raised the entire time and stay facing forward. Then repeated that approx. 20 times.
What do you do next?? This only has one step?? Just hold it or twist??
You perform for reps, say sets of 30 seconds: twist left, twist right, repeat.
An even more challenging version is the Russian Twist/Hot Potato! Hold the KB upside down so the handle is on the bottom and crush grip the ball between your palms. Pass the KB to your left palm, then back to the right palm and repeat. Keep "juggling" the KB back and forth between hands in a small arc. In order to counterbalance you will natural twist side to side a bit but you'll be forced to contract your muscles MUCH harder. Keep your elbows in close and your armpits shut.
Enjoy.
