Good things come in small packages, and energy bars are no exception. Today they pack everything from trendy herbs to amino acids to anti-oxidants, but one thing still matters most: taste. We sampled more than 30 bars and found many we'd happily keep handy for quick refueling. Despite their superhealthy image, most energy bars pack a lot more calories than more-humble, fiber-rich snacks like, say, an apple. Still, their convenience and variety make energy bars hard to resist. And they are healthier than most vending-machine snacks. Here are 10 solid, taste-tested choices.
