Got Brain Fog?

One surprising reason why it takes you twice as long to do everything at work?

Your lack of focus may be due to an insufficient amount of iron in your diet, finds a Pennsylvania State University study. When 149 women were tested on their memory and attention, those with the highest blood levels of the mineral performed 25 to 50 percent better than those with the least. The iron-deficient group was then given supplements daily for four months and retested. The result? Women with improved levels did up to seven times better than before. A deficiency may disrupt brain processes that affect our mental abilities, say experts. Be sure to get the recommended 18 milligrams of iron a day from foods like lean meat, poultry, and seafood.
