Green Living-Environmentally friendly eats

One small bite for you, one big step for the planet

Looking to try someplace new for dinner? See if any of the 300-plus restaurants listed on dinegreen.com are in your neighborhood. These establishments are certified by the Green Restaurant Association (GRA), which requires them to have full-scale recycling programs in place and be Styrofoam-free. To stay certified, they must make four eco-conscious improvements per year, such as buying more locally grown foods or switching to nontoxic cleaners, says GRA executive director Michael Oshman. Simply by making a reservation, you're helping the environment.
