Barbara Taylor's Sweet & Sour Summer Salad

Ingredients

1 cup lite mayonnaise
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 bunch fresh broccoli
l head cauliflower
1 small onion (yellow or red), chopped finely
1/4 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1/4 cup shelled sunflower seeds
1/4 cup real bacon bits (optional)

Directions

To make the dressing, mix together mayonnaise, sugar and apple cider vinegar. Stir or shake thoroughly so sugar dissolves. Set aside. Cut broccoli and cauliflower into florets and place in a bowl. Add onions. Pour dressing over the vegetables and toss to coat. Sprinkle with cranberries, sunflower seeds and bacon bits, if using, and serve.
