
Herbs and vitamins boost sexual satisfaction
ArginMax, an over-the-counter preparation containing herbs (ginseng, ginkgo biloba and damiana), an amino acid (L-arginine) and 14 vitamins and minerals, appears to help women of all ages suffering from sexual dysfunction. In a study of 77 women between the ages of 22 and 71 conducted at Stanford University School of Medicine, 34 women were given ArginMax, 43 a placebo. The study was presented at the ninth annual Congress on Women's Health and Gender-Based Medicine in 2001 and published in the Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy.
