4 Must-Have Scented Candles

I'm obsessed with scented candles, the shimmer of light they provide and the pleasant smell they leave lingering around my apartment. A single burning candle can be a welcoming gesture when entertaining guests, romantically inviting for a cozy night with someone special, or a mood-booster when cozied up with a good book and cup of hot tea on a chilly night.

Here are my four must-have scented candles:

1. Tocca Florence. Tocca Florence provides such a feminine smell, with a hint of an old European garden rose. My sister bought this candle for me as a Christmas gift a few years ago, and it's always the scent I keep next to my bed.

2. Malin & Goetz Dark Rum. Malin and Goetz make such unique scented candles. I discovered this brand while hosting an event at Earnest Sewn, a denim store in the meatpacking district of Manhattan, and now I've gifted them several times. I also love the Otto and Vetiver scents; they work really well burning together.

3. Lafco Beach House. One of my dearest friends, Kelly, bought this candle for my 31st Birthday this year. When burning, it makes me yearn for the warm sand, water and sunsets of summer at the shore.

4. Votivo Red Currant. Every time I burn this candle and have guests over, someone will ask what I'm burning. The Mandarine scent is also delightful.
