Anything is possible
By Kelly Lemire
I had always been about 15 pounds overweight, but then after my husband and I bought a fixer-upper home, we spent most of our time repairing the house and started neglecting our health. Grabbing hamburgers, pizza and other fast food was much easier than preparing a healthful, low-fat meal at home. By the time we finished the house a year and a half later, I had gained an additional 15 pounds and was nearly popping out of my size-12 clothing. I made feeble attempts to exercise and follow fad diets in order to lose the weight, but I eventually gave up and accepted my overweight, frumpy body.
