This "graceful, playful style works best on second-day hair," says Tresemmé stylist Jeanie Syfu. So spritz first with dry shampoo (try Macadamia Professional Style Extend Dry Shampoo, $20, ulta.com) to ensure freshness and to give hair some grip. Sweep your hair back, leaving a few loose pieces around the front, and begin braiding at the crown, fastening the braid at the bottom with a clear elastic. Finish with hair spray all over to hold the braid in place. (Try Tresemmé Two Extra Firm Hold Hairspray, $6, ulta.com.) "This style starts neat," Syfu says, "then when and if it gets messy, it still looks amazing!" (Here: more second-day hairstyles that work when you haven't showered.)

"The full ponytail always looks current and carefree," Suave Professionals celebrity stylist Jenny Cho says. "It's perfect for a dress with a sexy back." The trick is to create two ponies. After blow-drying hair smooth, section it from the top of one ear to the other (in a headband-like arc); hold the front section with a clip, and pull the back into a high pony, securing it with an elastic. Then brush the front section to join the pony; wrap an elastic around both. Finish with hair spray (try Suave Professionals Luxe Style Infusion Volumizing Plump Hold Hairspray, $5, walmart.com). "This '70s-inspired style exudes glamour," says Syfu, who suggests prepping damp hair with firm hold gel (try DevaCurl Ultra Defining Gel, $22, devacurl.com) before blowing dry. Shape small sections with a one-inch curling iron, mist with hair spray (try Ouidad Curl Last Flexible-Hold Hairspray, $20, ouidad.com), then clip to set. After 20 minutes, release clips and brush for fluffy texture, then spray again so curls stay put all night. (In a rush? Sport one of these styles that go right from the gym to happy hour, no shower needed.)

"Wearing your hair off your face shows confidence," says Damien Carney, Schwarzkopf Professional's North American creative director. "And the style suits so many face shapes, hair textures, and lengths." To create it, use a smoothing cream (try Aveda Smooth Infusion Nourishing Styling Creme, $26, aveda.com) on damp hair, then blow-dry with a large round brush, aiming the air flow down the hair shaft. Use a comb to create a laser-sharp center part, tuck hair behind your ears, and mist with a shine spray (try Osis+ Sparkler, $24, ulta.com). Then use the back of the comb (not the teeth) to smooth down any flyaways.
