How to Create a New Year's Eve Metallic Makeup Look That Wows

Let's be real: New Year's Eve is pretty much the one night of the year it feels perfectly appropriate—and almost mandatory—to whip out all of your shimmery makeup palettes and pile on as much as your heart desires. (Although, to be honest, we think it should be acceptable to go all out on any day of the year.) If you're wondering how exactly to put that extensive shadow palette to use, YouTube beauty vlogger Stephanie Nadia has you covered. She'll show you how to execute a metallic beauty look that's festive without being over-the-top or costume-like.

First, apply a warm metallic champagne hue all over your lid. (Want a stronger metallic finish? Wet your brush first for major impact.) Then, use a pop of white shadow to highlight the inner corner of your eye. Next, add a warm coppery brown to your crease and your bottom lash line. Blend the edges, then use a champagne-colored shadow to highlight the brow bone area. Finish off your eyes with mascara.

After applying blush, use a shimmery, liquid highlighter (Stephanie recommends the CoverFX Custom Enhancer Drops, $42; sephora.com). Apply to cheekbones, down your nose, and a bit on your forehead and chin. (Here, The Best Highlighters for a Glowing, No-Filter-Needed Complexion.) Finish off the look with a rose gold or metallic bronze lip (like the Colour Pop Ultra Metallic Lip, $6; colourpop.com).
