The NH Calderon is known for its lovely rooftop pool, wonderful location in Eixample neighborhood, and clean rooms—but the wellness center and gym need a special mention as well. The spa facilities are small but pretty nice, and the fitness center has windows boasting outstanding city views, as well as fairly modern equipment.

It's surprising how many excuses our brains can make up for skipping our workout routine, but at the Langham Place, Hong Kong, the justification "my gym is in a depressing basement with no natural light" is certainly not one of them. The gym at the Trump International Hotel & Tower is a notch above the rest in town—it not only features high-end equipment and a wonderful selection of daily classes (including yoga, Zumba Fitness, and Pilates Mat), but also wonderful views of the Chicago River and the city’s impressive skyscrapers. The hotel also offers a 75-foot by 25-foot heated indoor pool and personal trainers.
For those who feel a natural setting is more soothing or motivating while sweating through their shirt, the Lake Austin Spa Resort has a great surprise. The fitness center has wonderful lake views and floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons of natural light. However, those who want to be more in touch with nature can also take classes outdoors.
The Beach Palace’s fitness center is small, but has modern machines and wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the serene lagoon. There’s a sun deck with loungers right outside the gym, perfect for a well-deserved snoozing session in the Caribbean breeze after the workout.
The Marriott Copley Place is a business-oriented property and offers great amenities for those in town for work, including a great fitness center with a skylight and large windows that offer great city views. The gym has an adjacent indoor pool with a whirlpool and massage services.
The Pompano Beach Club offers great ocean views from virtually every spot in the resort, including the fitness center. Every machine here faces floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer relaxing unobstructed views of the ocean and the boats bobbing off the shore. A mirrored wall helps bring the outdoors in, ensuring that there’s tons of natural light and great vistas even for those facing the opposite wall.
