Can You Guess Whether These Sounds Are From Tennis Players or Porn?

Do your best porn moan impression (unless you're at the office; then things could get weird). Now do your best tennis grunt (imagine you're really trying to slam it to the other side of the court). Sound pretty similar, right? THAT'S WHAT WE SAID. So, naturally, we grabbed some random people, threw them in front of a camera, and asked them to guess: porn or tennis?

What we learned: Tennis and porn are basically the same thing. Edit some sneakers and ball-smacking sounds onto run-of-the-mill porn moans, and you basically have the audio of a tennis match. Take the audio of a tennis game and focus only on the vocal noises, and you've got some great audio porn. (Which is a thing! In Marie Claire's Porn Project, they found that six percent of women surveyed listen to audio porn.) This means two very important things: 1) If you're trying to get someone to watch tennis, this could be the perfect incentive you were looking for. 2) If you're terrified of watching porn (or just getting caught) keep it on the DL by turning on ESPN or the Tennis Channel, closing your eyes, and getting really into the game. (Or go play tennis and get a killer workout. That works too.)

If you're sitting there thinking, "ew, porn!" we won't judge you. Just know this: surveys by Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, and British sex toy and lingerie retailer Ann Summers all show that (surprise!) the majority of women actually like and watch porn too. And there's a reason people are into it; porn can make a great addition to a solo sesh, spark some new flames between you and your partner, or even inspire you to take charge of your sexuality, according to sex educator Reid Mihalko. And if you don't want to see fake orgasms and over-the-top theatrics, you can turn to ethically-produced feminist porn (yup, also a thing) that promises authentic Os, realistic sexual dynamics, and less phony B.S. than other homemade pornos you might find lurking on the internet. Or, again, just put on the U.S. Open and use your imagination.

#Sorrynotsorry, you'll never be able to watch tennis with your parents again (at least not with a straight face).
