Be a Model of Fitness

In every issue, Shape stars a fit, healthy reader demonstrating workout routines in an exercise article. If you'd like to be a Shape reader model, please see below for how to email your application.

Professional models are eligible, but no monetary payment is offered. Expenses for travel and accommodations are the responsibility of the reader model.

Tell Your Fitness / Weight Loss Success Story

Each month, Shape presents the Fitness / Weight Loss Success Stories of women who have changed their lives through healthful habits. If you qualify, send us clear, full-body uncut color photos of yourself after, in workout wear, and before. (No Polaroids please.) Include your name, address and phone number on the back of each photo. Also include an 800-word essay, typewritten and double-spaced, describing your progression, why you did it, how you felt during it, and how your family and friends reacted. Include:

• three maintenance tips
• your workout routines
• your before and after measurements (bust, waist, hips and thighs)
• if applicable, the amount of weight you lost.

Note that Shape recommends moderation in your diet and workout routines. We especially want to hear from you if you have maintained a healthy weight for two or more years and if you have overcome special challenges to achieve and maintain your fitness. Send this along with the completed model release form found here to Shape, Success Stories. We will not return photos or stories. Please do not phone us to ask about your submission.
