Linguini with Red Clam Sauce


  • Cooking spray
  • 2 tablespoons sherry cooking wine, dry variety
  • 1 small uncooked onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 cups canned tomato sauce
  • 10 ounces canned clams, drained
  • 1/2 pound uncooked linguini, cooked and kept hot


  1. Coat a large skillet with cooking spray; set over medium-high heat. Add sherry, onion, and garlic; cook, stirring frequently, until tender, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add sauce and clams to skillet; cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through, about 5 minutes.
  3. Season sauce to taste and pour over pasta.
