Debuts clothing line on HSN
Showing her love of fashion, Giuliana launches her own clothing line, G by Giuliana Rancic, on HSN – the most successful clothing line debut on HSN in 2012.

With more than 3 million followers on Twitter, Giuliana Rancic is the anchor of E! News, co-star of E!’s hugely popular Fashion Police, featured in her own reality show, Giuliana & Bill with her hot hubby Bill Rancic, and has been covering the red carpet at every prestigious event in Hollywood like the Oscars, the Grammys, and the Golden Globes for the past 10 years.

But being such an uber-success didn’t come easy. The entertainment guru was born in a modest neighborhood in Naples, Italy, as Giuliana DePandi. She moved to the United States when she was a little girl. Her obsession with television journalism began before she could even speak English. Since her parents couldn’t afford a tutor, she learned the language by watching TV newscasts. After receiving a bachelors degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland and her masters from American University, Giuliana moved to Los Angeles with high hopes of starting her broadcasting career.

Her first Hollywood job? Working in the mailroom for power agent Michael Ovitz, where she was paid minimum wage and delivered packages to stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese. All that changed when she joined E! News as a correspondent in 2002 and was made solo anchor and managing editor for the show in 2005, taking the lowest rated series on the network all the way to number one. Since then, she’s launched her own clothing line for HSN, released two highly-praised books, and founded the women’s fitness, beauty, and fashion website, FabFitFun, to name a few.

As a breast cancer survivor, Rancic cherishes the importance of being healthy from the inside out. After having a double mastectomy in 2011, she’s admitted that cancer revamped her outlook on life. “So many of us walk into a gym or go out for a run and think, ‘This is a chore. Let me get this over with.’ After my surgery, I remember lying in bed recovering and thinking to myself, ‘what I wouldn’t give to just walk around the block,’” she says. “It just changed my attitude toward exercise. Sometimes big things have to happen in life to make you appreciate the little things.” From running on the treadmill and lifting weights to dancing up a storm with Zumba, the TV personality loves to make time for her workout sessions six days a week. As for diet, the Italian-born beauty sticks to healthy meals and lots of water to keep her body well hydrated, but allows some cheat days on the weekends. Kristen Aldridge
