Jennifer Aniston only had a few minor film and television roles to her credit when she landed the NBC sitcom Friends in 1994, a show that made her a total superstar and awarded her an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe. The series made Aniston so popular, the nation dubbed her signature hairstyle as the “Rachel” and it’s still one of the most copied cuts today. She stayed with the show for 10 years, banking $1 million per episode for the last three seasons.

On the big screen, Aniston has alternated between quirky, independent films like Office Space and The Good Girl to massive projects like Bruce Almighty, Along Came Polly, Rumor Has It, The Break-Up, Marley and Me, He’s Just Not That Into You, Horrible Bosses, and We’re the Millers.

Born in Sherman Oaks, CA, on February 11, 1969, both of Aniston’s parents were actors and encouraged her interest in drama. As a child, she lived in Greece for a year with her family, before eventually moving to New York City where she trained as a drama student at the School of Performing Arts (aka the “Fame” school) and starred in several off-Broadway productions. In 1989, she made her first TV appearance as a series regular on Molloy with Mayim Bialik and was also a spokesmodel for Nutrisystem. Other endorsements throughout her years of Hollywood gold success include L’Oreal, SmartWater, Aveeno Skincare, and even her own fragrance.

Known for her strong, slim, and sexy physique, Aniston has trained with celeb yogi Mandy Ingber since 2005 in addition to daily short bursts of spinning, walking, or running. She also sticks to a healthy diet filled with lots of greens like kale, veggies, and lean protein, but she’s not afraid to have her cheat days! “I eat really well and I work out, but I also indulge when I want to. I don’t starve myself in an extremist way,” she says. “You’re not taking away my coffee or my dairy or my glass of wine because I’d be devastated.” Kristen Aldridge
