Jessica Matthews, D.B.H., M.S., E-RYT500, is a fitness and wellness educator. She regularly contributes as a wellness expert to media outlets, including, Women's Health, CNN, NPR, The Washington Post, and more. She is currently an associate professor and program director at Point Loma Nazarene University, director of integrative health coaching at UC San Diego Health, and a member of the board of directors for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). She previously served as a contributing editor for SHAPE magazine.

She holds a doctorate in behavioral health from Arizona State University and she numerous professional certifications, including as a certified lifestyle medicine professional (DipACLM), experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT500), national board certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC), personal trainer (ACE), and group fitness instructor (ACE). She has authored and edited several books, delivered a TEDx talk titled “Reclaiming Wellness,” and was awarded the IDEA Fitness Instructor of the Year in 2017.
