Kate Zimmerman

Kate has written and edited video scripts, speeches, major reports, profiles, articles, web content and news releases for numerous organizations over 25 years, as well as feature stories, columns and travel articles for Canada's major newspapers and magazines. Her clients have included Ocean Wise, Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA), ICBC, Swiss Re Insurance, Doctors of BC, VANOC, the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Canadian Tourism Commission, the BC Cancer Agency, the City of Vancouver, and five universities in three provinces.

Kate’s been a founding editor, copy editor, contributing editor, reporter, feature writer, arts critic, humour columnist, and award-winning food writer. She’s contributed to the corporate newsletters of international companies like Suncor Energy, and provincial associations like Doctors of BC, and have written marketing materials for major organizations like Ocean Wise and iconic travel companies like Island Expeditions, news releases for Vancouver public relations agencies, speeches for university presidents, video scripts for public sector clients like the City of Vancouver, and major reports for such organizations as the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC).

Kate attended Carleton University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in English.
