Maria Karr Title: Contributor Education: Baruch College, B.A. in Corporate Communication Maria Karr is the co-founder and CEO of Rumore Beauty — the first R-beauty discovery platform in the U.S., introducing beauty rituals from her home country. She also founded Hillcrest Communications. A former beauty industry executive, Maria spearheaded PR, communications, and influencer marketing efforts for leading global beauty brands for the past 10 years. In addition to her career in beauty, Maria has been teaching her signature course on PR and Communications at Baruch College, mentoring students, and running in her free time in the U.S. and abroad. She discovered the joy of running in 2017 and has crossed the marathon finish line four times since then. Born and raised in Siberia, Maria's been calling New York home since 2007.
