Nyamekye Smith

Nyamekye (aka Nemy) is a writer and editor who has a passion for exploring creative expression through dance, modeling, digital art, and design. In addition to being the assistant editor at Dance Magazine, she dabbles in multiple creative ventures as the art director of her co-owned art collective The Circle & The Square. She is always finding ways to make art out of everyday life experiences. Nemy continues to combine dance with her many creative passions by writing and creating content for some of the world's largest dance publications, and she fully believes that she owes her success in all realms to her dance background. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University, where she majored in Communications and was one of the first students in the history of the college to minor in Dance.
