Hi, I am a type 2 Diabetic and working on a weight loss program. In my case, I have been told that the important weight control factor is Carbs, not calories. I must consume 45-60 carb points with each meal and 15 with each snack. (One slice of bread=15 carb points,

All protein and vegetables are free. Fruits are generally 15 carb points. I still try to mach this with a calorie counter. Although I presently weigh 232 lbs, I only consume 1500 calories a day and should lose 10lbs per month. I have to balance my diet very carefully.

In addition, I suffer from a rare disease and have to take 15-20 mgs of Prednisone per day as well as 360mg of Mestinon.

Does anyone have any history with these drugs and weight loss control?
