Did you see me on TV?

On Friday I did my first TV segment! I helped our executive beauty director, Didi, demonstrate tips from our beauty feature in the January issue--Solved! The answers to your biggest beauty questions.  I arrived to the CW 11 studio about 45 minutes before we were to go on live and waited in the hair and make-up room with an actress from the new movie, The Reader. (Too bad it wasn't Leonardo DiCaprio or another celeb that I love, but it was still pretty cool to be mingling with stars.) Before I knew it, the beauty team and I were rushed onto the set, the producer was counting down, and we were on! With just about five minutes for Didi to share her advice on how to fix the most common beauty problems--like drawing an even line with eyeliner, applying eyeshadow the right way, and making your manicure last--it felt like it was over before it started. I didn't even have time to get nervous or to think about the fact that I was painting my nails on national TV with millions of people watching--ah! Being in a newsroom is exciting though; it looks like a smooth process when you're watching from your couch, but the behind-the-scenes look is intense, fast-paced, and a lot of running around. Hope you liked it!
