So I've had a busy week: 2 black-tie events (one with Elton John and Bette Midler and numerous other stars) and a cocktail party, plus an early morning awards ceremony where Shape was honored for being one of best media brands (essentially a great brand!)
So exciting, but so tiring. I haven't had time to work out this week as I've been up early and home very, very late.
But tomorrow I start gearing up for my triathlon by doing a 5K (the Revlon Run/Walk in Central Park to benefit breast cancer research) with Shape columnist Deb Lippmann. I'm so excited as not only am I eager to get out and run (and see how I'll do) but this is also Deb's first 5K ever!! So I'm happy to be sharing that experience with her. (For those of you who haven't been following Deb in the magazine, she's lost over 80 pounds to date—and gone from not exercising much to being in incredible shape (and now doing a 5K).
That is the one thing that keeps me motivated: seeing women like Deb accomplishing amazing things.
Wish me luck!
