Essentially, we know that it takes 21 days of constant repeitition to get habits to stick—so we're on a mission to implement 21-days of healthy habits. The end result: to get on track to feel healthier, have more energy, and lose pounds. 5 pounds is my goal; I've already lost one pound. Just 4 to go! Today is the 6th day of our program—and this is the time to look back on the past 5 days to really make sure you're following the habits you've already put into practice. Be sure to fit in a 30-minute workout today...your choice of cardio. I haven't done mine yet, but am planning on fitting in a 30-minute treadmill run as soon as my daughter goes down for a nap. Today's healthy habit is also to prepare for the week ahead. We know that preparation is everything when it comes to healthy eating and working out. Look at your schedule and figure out when you're going to work out—and write it on your calendar. Go to the store to buy more fruits and veggies and stock up on healthy foods. I just went to the store to buy more fruit...as yesterday, I ran out and snacked on jellybeans instead. But I'm not letting a small slip-up change my focus; that's life. There will always be ups and downs, but through it all you've got to stay the course.
