My Gramma lives in New York, but she decided to be a snowbird this winter and roost at my Aunt Jacquie's place in Florida. Gramma gives out free hugs, and Aunt Jacq's got a pool, so I'm hopping a flight to Orlando today to get in on that love fest. The only catch: I've got to do another 20-miler on Sunday, and my Golden Girls aren't runners, so they won't be able to point me in the right direction.
I've mentioned before that I like to map out running routes when I travel to new places, and this trip is no exception. But I'm getting a little help from MapMyFitness this time. I went to the site and punched in a few specifics, like where I was starting and how far I wanted to run, and found more than sixty 10- to 20-mile maps that will work. I narrowed it down and found a solid-looking 10.5 mile loop (thanks Anonymous for posting!) that I'm looking forward to tackling. I plan to run it twice, stopping after the first loop to refill my water bottle and give Gramma a high-five—she'll be sitting in the driveway, cheering me on. I can't wait to tell you how it goes!
