So, I'm heading off on vacation (and won't be blogging again until the first week in January) and before I head off, I wanted to share my pre New Year's resolutions: 1) Get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. This is the minimum we all should be getting, but I rarely do because of working late, my kids being up at night, and waking up early in the a.m. During this time off, it's early to bed and early to rise for me. 2) Drink lots of water. For some reason, I just can't seem to "remember" to drink enough water (...even though it's sitting right in front of me on my desk). So I'll be carting a water bottle with me everywhere and plan to drink at least 8, 8 ounces glasses a day, which is the minimum we all need. 3) Exercise at least three days next week. Now this is hardly what we recommend in Shape (you need at least 30 minutes a day) BUT I'm being realistic. Three days will be a success for me with the kids at home and no babysitting help! My thinking: It's good to establish some simple "resolutions" before Jan. 1, which always has so much pressure around it. That way you're already one step ahead before the clock strikes midnight!
