Best Beauty Products for Swimmers

My least favorite thing about swimming? Smelling like chlorine the rest of the day. So I tapped into my best resources—the SHAPE beauty department—and got my hands on some top-notch beauty products for swimmers. After testing out several different shampoos, conditioners, and body washes post-swim over the last few weeks of training, I’ve found some winners:
Reflect H2O Swim Shampoo ($16 for 8 fluid ounces) and Swim Conditioner ($17 for 8 fluid ounces; both
Created by avid swimmers who, upon returning to the pool after many years away, couldn’t find products that would protect and cleanse their hair after aquatic exercise without damaging it. They worked with a chemist to create this sulfate-free shampoo that promises to remove chlorine, salt, and build-up from hair without harming hair color (yay for those of you who don’t go natural). It’s best pair with the conditioner, which moisturizes, strengthens, and helps grow distressed and damaged locks. Plus, Olympian Janet Evans is a fan—what more do you need?!
Guinot Sun Care Shower Gel ($30 for 10.9 ounces;
Whether you swim outside or in, you’ll love this body wash from beloved French skincare brand Guinot. Not only will it wash away sweat, but it helps remove sunscreen and UV filters, neutralizes the effects of chlorine and saltwater, and prevents dehydration (my skin was always looking dry and cracked!). Better yet, it smells sweet and a bit like tangerine—a much better scent than public pool.
