Setting a Good Example for Kids

Just had to share: My 2-year-old daughter and I went shopping at Target (a fave of me and my kids) and we picked up a pair of "running" shorts and a tank top for her. She said: "Is this for my truffalon?" I asked her to repeat, she said (a bit louder) "Is it for my truffalon?!" And I realized that she was asking if it was for her TRIATHLON! :-) So cute!

I got a good laugh out of that, but thought: having your 2-year-old know about triathlons isn't such a bad thing! It gets them into the mindset early on that they can do these things too!

But I have to admit, the idea of a "truffalon" sounds interesting (eating chocolate truffles at frequent stops along the course of a race!!) I'm attaching a pic of my daughter in her "truffalon" outfit at last night's 5K in our hometown, which she "raced" in the jogging stroller with me and my husband (pic here of all 3 of us). (My son didn't join as he was at a friend's house.)
