Error may put users at risk for unplanned pregnancy.
If you're using birth control pills made by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals to prevent pregnancy, you better use a second form of contraception, such as condoms. The pharmaceutical company has voluntarily recalled multiple types of birth control pills because of a packaging error that may cause some women to take the pills in the incorrect order and therefore make them susceptible to pregnancy.
Certain packs of the birth control pills were erroneously rotated 180 degrees, which reversed the usual dosage. The recall affects two Clyclafem products and two Glidess products, as well as Emoquette, Orsythia, Previfem and Tri-Previfem oral contraceptives. For a complete list of birth control pills recalled, go to the Qualitest Pharmaceuticals website.
