Never Work Out in a Crappy Hotel Gym Again

If there's one thing you can count on while traveling, it's that even the nicest hotel gyms tend to be less than inspiring. It's as though every hotel is required to outfit its fitness center with beige walls, bland carpeting, and rows and rows of treadmills.

Luckily there's a new app for that—about time, right? To help you beat hotel gym boredom, Gymsurfing, which rolled out in the iTunes App Store (sorry Droid users) last week, lets you book day passes at gyms in L.A., Miami, New York, Toronto, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. Although it's only available in those citites currently, the creators of the app are working on taking it nationwide. Best of all, it's free to sign up, and prices start as low as $5 for a day pass at the gym of your choice in the above-mentioned cities.
