My office is a dietary landmine. Almost every day one of my coworkers brings in muffins, doughnuts, or some other high-calorie treat. You can't walk past a file cabinet without seeing bowls of candy or boxes of cookies. While I've been doing pretty well at resisting temptation, every so often I find myself gravitating toward the pastries—especially around 3 p.m. when I start to feel my energy level dip. So lately I've started fighting back. I placed a big bowl of fresh fruit right by my desk and encourage my co-workers to help themselves. That way we can all get healthier together.
