I was checking out the February column, my second for SHAPE, and I thought back to the photo shoot I did for it. The photographer had me do all sorts of different exercises for him that, by the end of the shoot I’d fit in an entire strength-training routine—and then some! It takes so many shots to get just the right picture that you end up doing way more reps than you would in a regular workout session. The best part for me was that the entire time I felt much more confident and at ease in front of the camera than I did the month before. I credit the fact that I’m healthier and happier with myself.
