The perfect pre-bed bite

I try not to eat after dinner, but the last few nights I stayed up later than usual to finish some writing, and found myself getting hungry again. After rummaging through the fridge, I finally decided on a slice of turkey and half a peach. It was just enough to stop my stomach from grumbling but didn’t weigh me down or make me feel like I had a second supper. I also put it on a plate and ate it at the kitchen table rather than gulping it down in front of the computer. That way I could focus on the taste of the food, and return to my work with a little boost of energy.
