I've started leaving my iPod at home when I go on my morning walks. I still love listening to music when I'm working out at the gym, but when I'm outside, it's a lot more relaxing to just listen to the birds and get lost in my own thoughts and daydreams. As I log my miles, my mind wanders and I often come up with solutions to problems or creative ideas about a new project at work. And sometimes I don't think about anything serious at all and instead fantasize about all of the cool things I'd do if I won the lottery. By the time I get home, I feel clear-headed and relaxed-and ready to tackle the day.
