For the last month or so I've been gaining and losing the same three
pounds. I spoke with my nutritionist, Katherine Tallmadge, R.D., and she said it's pretty common when you get within sight of your weight goal. You're feeling good about your progress and the motivation to work out and eat right isn't as strong as it once was. Since I still have a few pounds to lose, Katherine suggested I revisit the tools that got me this far: my food scale, journal, and pedometer. So once again, I'm weighing and measuring to keep servings in check, writing down everything I eat, and keeping track of my daily steps to make sure I'm averaging 12,000 per day. Now that I'm focused, those three pounds don't stand a chance of sticking around!
