For Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee Sandra Bullock, the right cosmetics are key to looking her best during awards season. “It’s called excellent makeup artists, don’t give away my secret! You haven’t seen me drop off [my son] in the morning at preschool. It’s not pretty,” Bullock joked to Entertainment Tonight.

Something that’s no laughing matter? Her incredible figure, thanks to grueling workouts with her trainer, Simone De La Rue. With a no-nonsense mix of Pilates, kickboxing, weight training, running, and biking, Bullock’s body never fails to impress!

Jennifer Lawrence

While many stars are busy juicing, starving, and slaving away to get into red carpet-ready shape, don’t expect Jennifer Lawrence to take her awards show prep to an unhealthy level. The Best Supporting Actress nominee has no desire to be a seriously skinny starlet, telling Elle that she’s comfortable in her own skin. “I eat like a caveman,” Lawrence reveals. “I’m never going to starve myself for a part.”

The 23-year-old swears by epsom salt baths to detoxify pre-event, and also turns to a dandelion and chamomile tea combo to drink away stress. “Chamomile tea helps to calm the body and get rid of stress that could build up before an event, leading to bloating,” says her trainer, Dalton Wong. “The dandelion tea is a brilliant diuretic so it helps to prevent water retention and flushes out toxins.”

Kate Winslet

Labor Day Golden Globe nominee Kate Winslet gets her skin glowing for awards season with Tracie Martyn’s infamous "Red Carpet Facial." The real-deal treatment using a Resculptor device to help erase fine lines, reduce puffiness, lift the eyes and cheekbones, and even define the jawline.

Not only will Winslet be putting her best face forward on Sunday, expect her post-baby bod to feel just as flawless! The new mom (who welcomed son, Bear, in December) told Hello! Magazine she wants to relax and enjoy motherhood rather than face pressure from the media about her figure. “I want to be as healthy as I can be, and I want to have as much fun as I can have,” she says. “I want to be around for my children. That’s it. Those are the priorities. I like staying fit and healthy, it’s all part of a healthy attitude to life.”

Shaun Robinson

Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson is a total pro when it comes to covering all the celebrity action at the industry’s biggest awards shows, so no wonder she always looks just as gorgeous as the nominees. What’s her red carpet secret? “I try to up my ‘brain’ smoothies, which are full of antioxidants,” she says. “My secret mix? Sweet potato, carrots, apricot, cantaloupe, kale, almonds, and papaya.”

The seasoned television personality also turns to all things Soul Cycle to keep her figure long, lean, and strong. “It’s so hard to get in the class because it’s so popular but during awards season, I am relentless! It’s a total full-body workout.”

Julia Roberts

She may be one of the biggest (and most beautiful!) stars in the world, but Julia Roberts admits getting ready for awards season is no easy task. “[It takes] 17 people...well, 15 to 17 people,” Roberts revealed. “It takes a village. It really does.” The sizzling 46-year-old, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in August: Osage County, has trained with Kathy Kaehler for more than 10 years doing a mix of aerobic step workouts, Pilates, yoga, running, swimming, and strength training. “I don’t want exercise to change my life,” she’s said. “Just my butt.” Touché!

Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Golden Globe winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus stops by Kate Somerville’s med-spa when she needs to refresh for big events; the 52-year-old Veep star is reportedly a huge fan of her facials. And as for that ageless body?

“I think I’m a little bit addicted to that post-workout high,” Louis-Dreyfus says. “I run, I hike, and I take these classes where you get on the treadmill, then you do these things while on a Bosu ball, then you get back on the treadmill.” But the star isn’t afraid to admit to getting a little help when it comes to the red carpet. “I try to push the worry down, and pull the Spanx up!”

Taylor Schilling

While we may associate Golden Globe nominee Taylor Schilling with the word bingeing (since we binge-watched on Orange Is the New Black in just one weekend) the 29-year-old certainly isn’t doing any binging when it comes to her daily diet. “I’ve trained myself to stay away from sugar. I keep it really simple. I know what feels good to eat and what doesn’t,” she says.

The star's go-to styling team includes trusted hairstylist Ryan Trygstad and longtime makeup artist Kate Lee. “I have no idea about hair generally, no idea, so [Ryan] can just do whatever he wants!” Schilling joked to Vogue.

Zooey Deschanel

The always adorkable Zooey Deschanel is known to be disciplined with her diet, eating primarily vegetables, fruits, nuts, and lean meats to stay trim and toned at all times, especially during awards season. “I try not to snack a lot,” she says. “If I start to snack too much, I don’t have an appetite for meals. I eat three square meals a day, and if I’m hungry, I have an apple.”

Kerry Washington

If the 2014 awards season is anything like the 2013 Emmy’s, Scandal nominee Kerry Washington is going to “sleep well, get up early, work out, and then have a really great time with the hair and makeup people!” Well, one thing’s for sure: the 36-year-old star makes being so fit look insanely easy (but we can assure you, she works hard at it).

“I watch what I eat. My body is really sensitive so I’m very conscious of what I put in my mouth,” Washington told People. “I try to eat things that are going to make me feel better, not worse.” In addition to a heart-healthy diet, the actress logs serious time in the gym with her Pilates guru, Nonna Gleyzer. Gladiators, take note!

Giuliana Rancic

E! News host Giuliana Rancic starts prepping for the red carpet weeks before the big show. “I get a spray tan by Veronique at Infinity Sun the night before the event, and I schedule a few extra private training sessions with my trainer, Franklin Westbrooks, at Equinox in Santa Monica about two weeks before the red carpet,” she says. “I am also trying out a new skin treatment with Raj Kanodia called Fractora. It has helped with the texture of my skin and has made my skin firmer.”

Sofia Vergara

To get her skin Golden Globes-glowing from the inside out, Modern Family stunner Sofia Vergara is a fan of the “Apple Stem Cell Facial” from skincare expert Sonya Dakar. She also turns to St. Tropez Tan to get sprayed, contoured, and polished with the “Make Me Glow” treatment using a gold skin illuminator, bronzing rocks, and body polish.

To maintain her amazing figure, the star does Latin dancing a few times per week in addition to working with top trainers like Gunnar Peterson and Justin Gelband. But most importantly, she always keeps things in moderation. “Not too much food, not too much exercise, not too much anything,” she’s said.

Amy Poehler

There was nothing better than seeing Amy Poehler back with Tina Fey to once again host the Golden Globes, so what exactly does Poehler do to prep for such a prestigious event? “I go to a ranch for two weeks, no talking,” she deadpanned to Ellen DeGeneres. “No food, just juice. And then I consult my astrologer. Then I go into a cave and I just lie on the ground and I have people just shout jokes into the cave...then I just drive my solid gold Porsche right into a brick wall and I prank call Sandra Bullock and I get started!”

Tina Fey

The former 30 Rock star is just as quick to bring the jokes when it comes to dishing about her Golden Globes red carpet routine. “If by gearing up you mean not doing anything, then yes!” Tina Fey told E! News.

Between her hosting duties, starring roles, and taking care of family, she’s certainly one busy lady, but good thing she always makes time for her workouts. Fey and her trainer, Kristin McGee, do regular vinyasa flow-style yoga that would make even Liz Lemon proud.

Juliana Margulies

The Good Wife Golden Globe nominee is just as good with her workouts as she is on the small screen, swearing by Pilates to keep her figure sleek and sexy on and off the red carpet. “When I’m not filming, I’ll work out about six days a week. I find it very meditative,” Juliana Margulies says. “I like to do a lot of cardio. And I love running.”

As for her diet, the television star keeps it as clean and balanced as possible, but is also a big believer in moderation. “I’ll have a weekend glass of wine or martini. I would say I’m most watchful of my carb intake,” she told The New York Times.

Amy Adams

Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee Amy Adams turns to celeb trainer Jason Walsh with Sheila Kelley’s exotic pole dancing-inspired classes on the side to keep her body prepped and primed for the red carpet. “Technically I’m a petite person, but I’ve always been strong. And I’ve never been into deprivation,” Adams told Elle. “Those bones that show in women’s shoulders when they’re extra skinny? I never had that, even at my thinnest. I don’t even think I have those bones.” The best part? The American Hustle star attributes her healthy image to her mother, who is in her 60s but still skis, bikes, and rock climbs.

The ageless a-lister credits her red carpet glow to SK-II Facial Treatment Mask. “We’ll prepare with cleanser and toner, and then Cate will sit back in a chair while her manicure and pedicure is done, and perhaps some preparations made to her hair,” says Dotti, her makeup artist of nearly 15 years. “Then we’ll apply the mask to her face—it’s Cate’s thing, it helps her relax and makes her skin look radiant.”

Lupita Nyong'o

Lupita Nyong'o

With her flawless skin, amazing figure, and killer style, the Best Supporting Actress nominee has definitely been the darling of the 2014 awards season. We all want to steal some of her secrets, so listen up! To keep her skin hydrated and blemish-free, Lupita Nyong’o prefers to stay au-natural. “I love using natural oils,” she says. “I use avocado oil and Hawaiian kukui oil on my face. I like to keep things natural, simple, and straightforward.”

Charlize Theron

Screen siren Charlize Theron knows a thing or two about rocking the Oscars red carpet, and turns out, nude pencil eyeliner is one of her tricks. “My makeup artist is a genius. One of the things he taught me is to use nude pencil eyeliner to outline the inside of my eyes for a brighter look when I’m feeling tired,” she says. She also uses Brilliance New York Age Defying Eye Serum for both under eyes and on décolleté for a refreshed look. And when it comes to that killer figure, the actress turns to yoga, Pilates, darate, jogging, swimming, and consistent, ballet-based workouts with her trainer, Fedele De Santis.

Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie

The 23-year old Australian stunner is known to be a fan of celebrity guru Dr. Lancer’s skincare treatments as well as St. Tropez tanning to rock the red carpet. As for her diet, you’d think she has a pretty strict regimen to look that good naked next to Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street, but according to Margot Robbie herself, “I don’t have a very good diet. I love beer, fries, burgers, but if I have to get in a bikini then I’ll eat carrot sticks for three days. I’m one extreme or the other. I’m not good at doing moderation. I get miserable if I don’t eat. I can’t just have a salad every day and a half a glass of wine every second day. Can’t do it.”
