How Victoria's Secret Models Got Fit for This Year's VS Fashion Show
Though this is Curtiss' first show with Victoria's Secret, modeling runs in the family. Her mom, Katoucha Niane, was a famous model in the '80s. And while Curtiss' smile makes this stability ball plank look like a cinch, you know it's no joke if you've ever attempted one.
Windsor has been working with VS for a few years now, and in the meantime she's walked the runway for designers like Prada and Chanel. This year, she opted for Megaformer workouts before the big show. If you're not familiar with these machines, they're like an amped-up version of the Pilates Reformer. (Interested? Xiao Wen Ju
Celebs love SoulCycle, and model Xiao Wen Ju—the first Chinese woman to be the face of Marc Jacobs—is no exception.
A newcomer to the VS show, Alexina Graham is one of the most impressive athletes to walk the stage this year. Need proof? Look at her killing sled pushes like it's NBD.
Lima is a veteran of the show, and she doesn't have plans to stop walking in it anytime soon. The model shared on her Instagram that she used a combination of training strategies to prep this year, including intense jump rope cardio, boxing, and weightlifting.
Ribeiro wore this year's *fantasy* bra (you know, the one that costs $2 million), so this show was an extra special one for her. The model hit up NYC dance cardio spot 305 Fitness for a nonstop (but seriously fun) sweat session. (For a preview of the workout, check out 305 Fitness' Dance Cardio Workout.)
Cindy Bruna, who has walked in the VS show several years in a row, did some landmine work to get back in action. In fact, she shared in an interview with
that it was after her first Victoria's Secret show back in 2013 that she really started to get into working out. (If you're curious about how to use this equipment, scope this full-body landmine workout for beginners.)
Fowler hails from New Zealand and is rumored to be dating Nick Jonas. The kiwi model focused on strength training to prep for her second year gracing the runway for Victoria's Secret. By holding a weighted ball on one side, she turned her squats into a balance exercise, too.
We love seeing models pick up a barbell, and it looks like veteran VS Angel Tookes is a total pro. She turned up the heat on her deadlifts with resistance bands.
Spanish model Blanca Padilla, who is also the face of Givenchy Beauty, focused on weight training to get ready for the big event. Here, she's doing split squats with a body bar for a little extra resistance.
Based on Hosk's Instagram, it looks like she's been at the whole Pilates thing for quite a while—and it shows!
Though it was Ambrosio's last show with Victoria's Secret, she still prepped as intensely as she did in years past—although this time around she got her family in on the action with an outdoor hike.
Skriver prepped her glutes for the runway with barbell hip thrusts, TRX battle rope lunges, and cable kickbacks.
