When we asked Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz to try the new workout at Equinox Fitness Clubs called ViPR (pronounced "viper"), she jumped at the chance. "I'm always looking for something different to do at the gym," says the 24-year-old. "My go-to routines are usually yoga or running, so this was definitely a challenge."

The Workout

ViPR stands for vitality, performance, and reconditioning. It's a total-body workout that involves lunging, squatting, and lifting in 45-second intervals for half an hour-all while holding a weighted rubber tube. "You're swinging it around so you hit every muscle group, including your core," says Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz. "It really made me push myself and was fun too!"

The Results

"I was surprised at how tired I was after just 30 minutes," says Jenna. "But I was also impressed that I could do it. In fact, I was good at it, which was a real confidence booster."
