How Real Housewives of New Jersey Star Teresa Giudice Stays in Shape
The Real Housewives of New Jersey on Bravo had its season premiere last night, and while drama-maker Danielle Staub is no longer on the show, there was still plenty of drama to go around. But we're not here to talk about the drama. We'll leave the full Real Housewives of New Jersey drama recaps to the entertainment publications. We're here to talk about the fitness on the show! And when it comes to staying in shape, Teresa Giudice has been pretty public about how she stays so fit.
Last year Giudice wrote the cookbook "Skinny Italian," which shares her secrets - and Italian recipes - for keeping a trim figure. Giudice swears by eating everything in moderation (including her favorite cannoli and pignoli cookies, which she says she can never resist) and buying the freshest fruits and vegetables she can for her meals.
For workouts, Giudice favors weight training and lower-body exercises, such as squats, to keep her body trim, yet strong. While she will do cardio on the treadmill if she has time, she says that her husband likes her to have a little more junk in the trunk - so he's not a big fan of her burning too many calories.
While it looks like this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will be as dramatic as ever (even without Staub!), we sure do hope that they show a little more of how these New Jersey housewives stay fit!
