Comedian and body-positive icon Amy Schumer took to Instagram on Monday night to announce that she is pregnant with her first child-and she did so in a not-so-ordinary fashion. (Related: Amy Schumer Addresses Hollywood's Unrealistic Beauty Standards In New Netflix Special)

For starters, she teased the news by sharing a photo of her own and her husband Chris Fischer's faces Photoshopped onto the bodies of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. That was quite fitting considering the royal duo also just announced their pregnancy news last week. (ICYMI, Pippa Middleton gave birth to her first child-and it's a boy!)

"About to announce some exciting news on @jessicayellin Insta page," wrote Schumer. "Please follow her for up to the minute #newsnotnoise she breaks down what's really going on. She agreed to post a lil noise today for me! Follow her and VOTE!!"

BTW, Jessica Yellin is a political reporter whose Instagram has gained popularity for separating real news from what's fake. To support Schumer's creative pregnancy announcement, she posted a video to her page, sharing a list of Schumer's 20 recommendations for candidates in the upcoming midterm elections in November. The list ended with the words: "I'm pregnant-Amy Schumer." The actress has yet to announce a due date.

The exciting news comes just eight months after Schumer tied the knot with her chef husband in a surprise ceremony in Malibu. The couple confirmed their marriage in a rather unconventional way as well, by posting a series of wedding photos along with the caption, "Yup."

While Fischer hasn't said anything about the pregnancy just yet, Schumer told the Los Angeles Times that, "Chris and I are thrilled and almost positive he's the father. I look forward to competing with Markle every step of the way." (Related: Here's Why We're All So Obsessed with Meghan Markle)

Well if the competition starts with the most creative pregnancy announcement, we'd say Schumer is definitely in first place.
