Anna Victoria, CEO and founder of the Fit Body app, is about to become a mom. The fitness influencer just took to Instagram to announce that she's expecting her first child with husband Luca Ferretti.

"My best-kept secret," Victoria wrote alongside the post. "Baby Ferretti due August 2020."

Victoria's news is particularly exciting given that she's been documenting her struggles with infertility for the past two years. She's been candid about the challenges she's faced during this time with her followers on Instagram and on her YouTube channel.

When she first started trying to conceive, Victoria tried several approaches to help increase her odds of becoming pregnant. In a detailed YouTube video, she shared that she switched up her diet and workout routine and started doing intrauterine insemination (IUI), a fertility treatment that involves placing sperm inside a woman's uterus to facilitate fertilization. Unfortunately, none of these approaches worked for Victoria, she said in her video. (Related: How Your Exercise Routine Can Affect Your Fertility)

The last time Victoria updated her followers on her pregnancy struggles, she revealed that she was in the process of undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF), a popular fertility treatment that involves retrieving eggs from the ovaries, inseminating them with sperm in a lab, and inserting the fertilized embryo into the woman's uterus. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Victoria shared how the IVF process took a huge toll on her body, showing how bloated she'd become after undergoing the treatment.

"I know it doesn't look that bad, but it felt a lot worse than it looked," Victoria wrote alongside her photo at the time. "I couldn’t sit or stand or even move for the first three days without wincing in pain or bracing myself. I’m used to having a really high pain tolerance and battling through, but this really knocked me on my booty. Thankfully I am pretty much fully recovered now and I find out today when I am cleared to exercise (hopefully tomorrow!). Even then, I'm definitely going to ease into it for the first few days."

Victoria also used this post to encourage her followers to be more open and honest on Instagram in general. "While there's nothing wrong with highlighting our best moments on Insta, it's important to talk about our struggles, too," she wrote. "Whether that's an infertility struggle, a weight loss struggle, a financial struggle, or a relationship struggle, everyone is going through something. But from the looks of Insta, you'd never know..." (Did you know that Instagram is the worst social media platform for your mental health?)

For now, it seems that everything Victoria has gone through was worth it—and her fans couldn't be more excited for the mom-to-be. Several fellow fitness influencers left congratulatory comments on Victoria's pregnancy announcement post, including celebrity trainer Kira Stokes, Love Sweat Fitness' Katie Dunlop, the SWEAT app's Kelsey Wells, and Cassy Ho of Blogilates.

"So happy for you," commented one fan. "I've followed your journey from the very beginning and I'm so glad you two got the happy news you deserve!" (Related: Anna Victoria Has a Message for Anyone Who Says They "Prefer" Her Body to Look a Certain Way)

Another fan thanked Victoria for sharing her fertility journey, saying: "You deserve the best in life and CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a perfect way to start your new home."
