Caitlyn Jenner Shares Her Greatest Victories In New H&M Campaign
"That's the greats victory of all—to wake up in the morning and just be yourself."
Caitlyn Jenner is known for a lot of things. Her resume includes opening up about her struggle with gender identity in "I Am Cait," accepting the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs, and raising the infamous Kardashian-Jenner clan. Oh yeah, and she's an Olympic gold medalist.
Fittingly, Jenner is the new face of H&M's For Every Victory collection, the sportswear line launching in stores and online this week, designed to celebrate diversity and victories both on and off the field. In "Caitlyn Jenner: My Life's Greatest Victories," the Olympian talks about her life's landmark moments in both arenas. What better time of year to remember Jenner's athletic accomplishments than in the final countdown to the 2016 Olympics in Rio?
In the short film below, Jenner opens up about her early struggles with gender issues and explains how an early introduction to sports became a turning point in her life. "To me, sports was always this wonderful diversion from myself and about who I was," says Jenner, who took home the gold at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal after a medal-winning performance in the decathlon.
According to H&M, the For Every Victory collection is for those who "take on new challenges, fight prejudice or conquer their fears." All things that Jenner is obviously pretty familiar with.
The collection features sports bras, leggings, track shorts, leg warmers, hats and a super chic zip-up, which Jenner sports in her video. Prices range from $10 to $60.
