The famous funny girl took some well-deserved time off with her family to try aerial yoga and learn more about nutrition.
You know that exotic wellness retreat to Bali you've always wanted to take? Well, Chrissy Teigan totally took it, and she was living the dream (or should we say your dream) and snapping some pretty gorgeous photos along the way. The best part? She took her whole adorable fam along for the journey.
She took to Instagram yesterday to share this incredible photo of her and hubby John (Legend, that is—come on keep up) in beautiful henna tattoos and traditional ceremonial costumes, saying she had "the most beautiful, wonderful time in Bali," and her body and mind have never felt so clear.
We had the most beautiful, wonderful time in Bali. Como Shambhala, my body and mind have never felt so clear. Thank you for getting me to move again (first time since I was 8 months pregnant and Luna is ummmm 15 months old) and giving me some much-needed body and nutrition schooling! And thank you for dressing us in your beautiful, traditional ceremonial costumes! And don't worry, everyone. I still love me some .99 two tacos. Balance! #notbeingpaidtosaythis
"Thank you for getting me to move again (first time since I was 8 months pregnant and Luna is ummmm 15 months old) and giving me some much-needed body and nutrition schooling!" the star said in the post.
So what got her to move again? Teigan spent some time upside down doing aerial yoga, a practice that uses a hammock suspended in the air to support your full body weight. Interested? Discover seven ways that aerial yoga can take your workout to the next level
But you probably know by now that Teigan is all about keeping it real—whether she's showing off her stretch marks or talking plastic surgery—so it's no surprise that instead of posting a perfectly posed pic of a backbend in the yoga hammock, she shared a video of her struggle to climb her way upright with her instructor's help, laughing "I thought that'd be way more relaxing." Anyone who's found out the hard way that aerial yoga takes an insane amount of core strength will be able to relate.
But if you think after all that pampering that the funny girl would come back as anything other than her fabulous self, you'll be happy to know that she hasn't gone all cleanse-crazy. Her love of junk food is still intact. "And don't worry, everyone. I still love me some .99 two tacos. Balance!" she wrote in one caption. Props to Teigan for showing everyone that you can go on one of those immersive health retreats and never give up your love for #TacoTuesday.
