Demi Lovato has been refreshingly open and honest about her battle with substance abuse-and today marks six years of sobriety.

The singer took to Twitter to share this major milestone with her fans, saying she's "So grateful for another year of joy, health, and happiness. It IS possible."

Her fans rushed to show their support, calling her a role model and created a hashtag, #CongratsOn6YearsDemi, to filter their encouraging comments.

Lovato hasn't held back when it comes to her experiences with bipolar disorder and eating disorders. And she was honest about her reasons whenever she needed a break from the spotlight to put her mental health first.

When it comes to her sobriety these past six years, the "Confident" singer has credited the CAST Centers, a Los Angeles–based rehabilitation facility, as being the reason behind her successful recovery from alcohol and drugs. She loves the program so much that she's bringing it with her on tour to provide free group therapy sessions to concert attendees. "The CAST experience is an event like I've never seen on tour," Lovato says on the CAST website. "With inspirational people speaking every night, it's an event you don't want to miss."

Congratulations, Demi! Here's to hoping your story inspires others in similar positions to start their own road to recovery.
