Gabby Douglas Releases Her Own Emojis Just In Time for Rio
They Olympic gymnast is coming to a smartphone keyboard near you
If you thought Kim Kardashian's Kimoji app was incredible, then get ready for the hottest new set of celebrity emojis: this time, from Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas. This week, the tumbling queen announced the release of her very own gold medal-worthy emoji app called Gabbymoji.
Similar to Kim's infamous app, Gabbymoji will feature customizable expressions, stickers, and images inspired by its creator. (And check out trainer Shaun T's Fitmoji too!) Gabbymoji also offers sound clips, videos, and GIFs with motivational messages. Considering the fact that the two-time Olympic gold medal-winning U.S. gymnast is currently competing for a spot on the U.S. Olympic team at this summer's games in Rio, it's no surprise that her app would be mega motivational. (P.S. Have you heard that These Refugees Are Making Olympic History?)
So next time your coworker threatens to flake out on your weekly post-work sweat session, you can send her a little extra encouragement with an emoji declaring "Go get it if you want it," or "I just like to go out there, do my best, and have fun." As you can see, the app stays true to Douglas' signature upbeat, bubbly vibe.
The release comes just in time for the summer games in Rio and is available for $1.99 for iOS and Android. We can't wait to add a little extra girl power to our tweets and texts-especially when it comes to discussing what's sure to be a set of stellar performances by Gabby and the rest of the U.S. women's gymnastics crew.
